I love to make things. When I’m not taking photographs or trying to make a buck some other way I like nothing better than to spend a few hours in the kitchen or at the grill creating a meal for my wife or friends. Using my hands is something that I enjoy doing and that I need to do.
This is the reason that I make my own Wedding Books. When researching Wedding Albums I came across the usual offerings; Leather Craftsmen, Zookbinders, Queensberry, etc. There are also a few new and interesting offerings such as Finao and Kiss Wedding Books. Some are produced locally here in the U.S. and others come from as far away as Australia. Most are beautiful and all are expensive. It was difficult to find a quality album for a wholesale price of less than $400. When you consider that most Wedding Photographers need to mark these albums up substantially in order to make a return on the time that they invest designing and ordering the albums it is no surprise that a quality album can easily add $1,000 to the cost of wedding coverage. Faced with these prices I was very excited when I came across a Wedding Photographer who was making his own albums from start to finish and was willing to share this knowledge. Check out John Michael Cooper’s wedding photography site at Altf.com. You can even order the tutorial and learn how to make your own books.
After nearly a years practice I am ready to offer these custom bound albums to my wedding clients and anybody else who would like me to bind them a book.
Each book is completely custom made. I have no design templates or set color schemes. We can design your album together or you can leave the details to me. Book size, cover color, fabric or leather, inside cover options, photo inlays are all options that you have when designing your book. We can even create a matching set of albums, parent albums and mini albums. Books start at $350 for a Fabric covered 8×10 with 30 pages. If you are interested in seeing any samples please contact me and we can arrange to meet.
