Leather Wedding Albums

I have been making my own wedding albums for 2 years but have only recently started experimenting with leather as an optional cover material. While I am still a huge fan of silk book covers this is a cool option for those of you who love the look and feel of leather. As is the case with my silk covered books your choice of leather color is pretty much limited only by your imagination. I have seen some fun leather samples in lime greens, pinks, oranges. Just let me know what you’re thinking and we’ll source a color that will be as individual as you and your wedding day.

All of my books are designed and hand bound by me, and are constructed using archival materials. As you will see in the following pictures the books open flat so that it is easy to flip through your album while it rests on a table or on your lap. The gutter, or hinge, is seamless which means that we can design panoramic spreads and really take advantage of the resolution that todays digital cameras offer. Although the dimensions of the books shown here are 9in x 13in we can build books to any specifications, whether that be a 20in x 20in monster or a 5in x 5in brag book to slip in your purse.

If you would like to know more about my books and other photography related services please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

All the best for a great week,

Simon

For those of you who might be interested I have included a few images of a wedding book just prior to casing. The first image is of a neatly trimmed book block. The following images show the block resting on leather covered Hardbord. This is an acid free product very similar to masonite and much sturdier than binders board.
