Caitlin’s 1st B-Day!!


I would never have believed that time could go by so quickly. I can remember how it used to drag between my own birthdays but not any more. One year ago my wonderful wife Erin and mother in law Lorie spent an entire day together in the hospital while I worked. I finally arrived at around 7pm and, after having been in labor for 12 hours, Erin promptly gave birth to our second beautiful daughter, Caitlin. It has been a magical year. “Caity Bear” is the polar opposite of what “The Bean” was like in her first year. She is full of giggles, is already walking and has the curiosity of all the cats that I have ever known combined. The 4 of us make a pretty good team and are looking forward to whoever will be arriving in September.

Here are a few snapshots of our day together and the obligatory sesame street cake (Ella had Elmo) that Dad baked.

They are all beautiful piccies…. Cait’s loving the cake (well done – what a good job!) She has grown soo much and The Bean looks like she’s shot up too! I hope our cards arrived on time and that Caitlin had a fab 1st B-day. We miss you all very much, but thanks Si for the pics, so nice to see your family and their smiling faces! Thanks for posting these Simon, I love seeing new pics of the girls. You have a house full of beauties. I especially like the 3 generations of ladies photo. Caitlin has grown so much and I’m sure will change even more before the summer. I am already counting down to our trip in July and look forward to seeing all of you!

Great photos and wonderful story Simon! Thank you so much for sharing them with us all. I love checking the blog and seeing updated photos of Erin and the girls. I can’t wait to see you all live in just a few months! Erin looks gorgeous as always and I hope that she is feeling great as she starts her second trimester. She’s a pro by now! :-)

Hey Si – what lovely pictures of our little Piscean! Just so gald there are two of us in the family:)

The cake looks (looked!) so good and it’s obvious that Caitlin enjoyed it as much as you must have had “baking” it. Looks like Ella also enjoyed her slice.

Just a pity we’re sooooooooo far away! Miss you guys and love you all lots.

What beautiful pictures of the birthday celebration Si, Caity seemed to enjoy herself immensely even tho you said she was a little under the weather, obviously she enjoys a good party!
