Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a very good friends brother’s wedding. To say that Brad and Regan are laid back would be an understatement. They contacted me 5 days before their big day to see if I was available, and fortunately I was. To be fair to the two of them they have a lot of friends who seem very arty and many are into photography. I think that their initial plan had been to rely on these friends and at times I did feel a little undergunned during the wedding. It was fun doing the papparrazi thing though and I hope that everybody else got some good shots too. I’m especially interested in seeing your shots Mike, there is still nothing like the sound of a Hasselblad ripping through film.
This was a morning wedding and was held at The Ethical Society in Rittenhouse Square. The entire family walked to the venue from The Westin Hotel. It’s only a couple of blocks away and was definitely a great decision. The day was beautiful from start to finish and neither the crazy wind nor a dead battery on Brad’s grandparents chariot (They celebrated their 64th anniversary on Brad & Regan’s Wedding Day!) could dampen the spirits.
This was a truly happy day with lots of great emotion (I’m pretty sure I saw a tear Brad!) and some cool speeches, both during the ceremony, which was Quaker, and by Regan’s dad during brunch. Thanks for having me along guys and enjoy the preview of your Wedding Day images.
Later,
Simon
